Happy Cyber Monday Meanderers! I hope you’ve all made the electronics purchases of your dreams for the holidays. Here’s this week’s installment of the regular newsletter I created to keep me engaged with you. This will provide a way for you to know what’s going on with me even though I’m not camping out on Social Media anymore. As usual, I have some great books to share with you!
Writing, Writing, Writing!
Over the long holiday weekend while trying to get some words down, I had two funerals happening for two very good friends of mine. One lost her mother, and the other, her sister. These made me reflect on how none of us are promised tomorrow. I even shared a post on Facebook to that effect, because our days really are numbered and I’m endeavoring to get everything out of however many days I have left.
Writing is a big part of how I want to spend the rest of my time on this mortal coil. Many of my friends and family don’t understand my fascination with the written word, or this passion I have for creating stories that resonate with a fan base. They think of it as child’s play, or something not as important as real every day life, but I beg to differ. Writing is as important to me as breathing, and most days I’d rather be writing than doing anything else in the world. That is why I identified so much with M. Night Shyamalan’s quote in the graphic above. There are stories in my head that just demand to be told.
While working on nanowrimo (which is winding down), and my projects I’m trying to get published in my current series’, I had an idea for a new series that came to me over the weekend. Now, I can’t wait to finish the projects I”m doing so I can get this new series going. It involves a large southern extended family, with three young heroines who each get to tell their stories. I’m vacillating on whether to make it genre fiction, or literary. But rest assured, whichever I choose, it’s going to be epic!
Speaking of writing, if you want to read any of my books while you’re waiting on my new stuff to publish, you can find all my books here. Redeeming the Amazon is currently FREE: LV Lewis books!

Myreen always knew her mom held some deep dark secret; the rules, the moving, the years of unanswered questions. But she didn’t think breaking one rule, just once, would lead to the death of her mother. And she never expected to find out that she was a mermaid shifter, or that her mother was killed by vampires.
Whisked away in the middle of the night for her own safety, Myreen finds herself in a secret school for shifters. But starting over in a new school in the middle of the year–even if it is for the millionth time–is never easy. Beneath the Autumn Sky by Laurel Black
But the fact that the kid had to go through that, only to turn into some kind of statistic. Perhaps even a cautionary tale for victims and bullies and children who enjoy walking around at night. That was all that kid would be remembered by, and it left a bitter taste in his mouth.
Suddenly, he felt a hand on his. Daniel’s eyes flickered down, and saw Alec’s fingers intertwine with his. “Hey,” he muttered.
“I could look into your friend’s disappearance,” Daniel found himself blurting out. After a few minutes of awkwardness, he mentally kicked himself. The sheer look of shock was more than enough to make Daniel regret those words, but even more so when Alec’s grip tighten. “No, it’s fine.”
“Are you sure? I know a couple of guys at the police station. I could-”
“Please Daniel. Just…leave it be.”
Daniel stopped. He couldn’t help but turn away, looking at the small plate of vegetables. Before he knew it, he nodded. “Okay,” he said. “Okay.”
He was about to take his hand back, but he couldn’t. It was warm, and it was the first thing he noticed. “Hey Daniel?”
“I love you. You know that right?”
