LV’s Monday Meanderings… November 5, 2018

Happy Monday, Meanderers! As you very well know by now, I created this regular newsletter to keep me engaged with you on a regular basis. This will provide a way for you to know what’s going on with me even though I’m not camping out on Social Media anymore. This week I’m giving away another book!

Writing, Writing, Writing!

Nanowrimo is a godsend. It is a time when as writers, we are expected to write like the wind, and pen something, regardless of how good it is for the 30 days of November. After it’s done, then you’re supposed to go back and edit until it shines with the perfection you are known for. I am taking part in this year’s nano because I’ve been working too hard to have a set writing schedule. However, I was truly inspired to make writing my habit by Ms. Octavia Butler’s quote. Wish me luck!

Speaking of writing, if you want to read any of my books while you’re waiting on my new stuff to publish, you can find all my books here. Redeeming the Amazon is currently FREE: LV Lewis books!

Redeeming the Amazon

Most come to The Beaudelaire Hotel a select few times a year merely to indulge in sexual fantasy, but the stakes are higher for Karen Freeman and Paul Beaudelaire this New Year’s weekend.

How does a woman remain sexy when she’s lost an essential hallmark of her femininity? She gives a Marine amputee one shot at helping a former model with body image.

Will this fantasy weekend at the Beaudelaire Hotel give Paul a second chance with his contemporary Amazon, or will Karen’s fear of rejection be a barrier to their reconnection?

The Last Book I Read…

Promise Me You

by Marina Adair

A heartening romance of friendship, second chances, and the healing power of love…

Mackenzie Hart has made a career out of writing about eternal love, so when she finds her perfect match in Hunter Kane, she decides to put it all on the line. Irresistibly charming and drenched in alpha-male swagger, Hunter isn’t just the catch of the town—he’s Mackenzie’s best friend. Only someone beats her to the altar. After a fresh start and three years to recover, the last thing Mackenzie expects is for her old life to come knocking…

Recently divorced, musician Hunter Kane wants to reconnect with the woman he left behind. Admitting his biggest mistake comes first. What comes next is up to Mackenzie. He hopes she’ll give him a second chance. He may have been the one to break her heart, but he knows he can also be the one to mend it.

As a tenuous friendship turns into something more, Hunter’s life on the road beckons once again. Will love be enough to keep them together, or will their wildly different worlds be too much for them to overcome?

My Review

Marina Adair never disappoints. She sets up believable, realistic romances that grab you and draw you in for the long haul. Promise Me You was no exception. Mackenzie Hart and Hunter Kane’s history involved writing country music together and being the best of friends until Hunter decides to marry someone else and Mackenzie takes her unrequited love and disappears from his life just before the big day. Fast forward three years later and Hunter is in a writing slump, has divorced and is hoping his manager cousin will get this new writing duo to help him pen his band’s next album. Unbeknownst to Hunter, he knows part of the new writing duo very well. Having herself thrust back into the tractor beam that is Hunter was not in Mackenzie’s plans. She’s trying to get her life on track after a debilitating congenital eye disease has stolen her sight, and that is only one of many surprises Hunter gets when she re-enters his musical world. Promise Me You delivers from the first page to the last.

“First, forget inspiration. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you’re inspired or not. Habit will help you finish and polish your stories. Inspiration won’t.

Habit is persistence in practice.” — Octavia Butler
